Book Review: The Boy Who Changed the World by Andy Andrews

The Boy Who Changed the World

by Andy Andrews

The Boy Who Changed the World is a children’s book based on the wildly popular Butterfly Effect story that author/speaker Andy Andrews often uses. It tells a story that spans generations. It is a story of choices that influenced history in major ways. The story is written as several stories in one. The pictures are nice with vivid colors, cute facial expressions, and butterflies to be found throughout.

This is a sweet children’s book appropriate for preschoolers through the elementary ages. It encourages children to think about their choices in a larger picture way than just the moment before them. However, the author does not point to the biblical principle of every choice affecting those around us, the Kingdom, and our rewards in eternity. Due to the lack of Scripture (or any reference to the Bible), this is not a book that I would buy for my children or to give away.
